Got Questions?
Just How Hot Are We Talking?
Unlike other portable saunas that play it safe, the Soulfire sauna is here to bring the heat—literally. It cranks up to a toasty 90°C in just 25 minutes, but during testing, it casually flexed at 112°C. It’s a sauna, not a competition, so take care and know your sweat limits!
Are There Any Nasty Fumes?
Nope! The Soulfire tent doesn’t release any harmful chemicals (VOCs) during operation—our constant testing makes sure of that. It’s purpose-built with heat-treated Oxford 420D lining and high-temp TPU windows, both rated to handle up to 150°C without breaking a sweat.
How Quickly Will It Arrive?
We’re all about quick moves—your order hits the road the next business day, with a 2-5 day adventure to your door. Don’t worry, we’ll keep you in the loop with emails so you’re not left guessing if your sauna dreams are en route!
How Quickly Can I Set It Up?
The Soulfire tent’s quick pop-out design makes setup so fast and easy, you’ll spend more time sweating than swearing. One person, three minutes, and voilà—your portable spa is ready to roll!
Is the Sauna Built for Permanent Outdoor Life?
Absolutely! The Soulfire sauna is engineered tough to brave the harsh Aussie elements, but it’s not invincible. Over time, the sun might give it a little "character," and rain could make your stove a sad, rusty mess. So, disassemble the chimney, flap it shut, and slap on those window covers when you’re not sweating it out. If Mother Nature’s throwing a tantrum, tuck it away somewhere safe—it deserves a little R&R too!
When harsh winds roll in, it’s best to pack your sauna away—because flying tents aren’t very zen. But if you’re determined to keep it grounded, weigh down the perimeter flaps with bricks or timber (totally optional, but solid advice). Plus, we’ve got you covered with corner pegs and ropes to secure all four sides. Stay safe, not airborne!
Is This the Real Aussie Deal?
You bet! Our units are in stock and ready to roll straight from our Sunshine Coast warehouse. We’re all about getting your sauna dreams on the road, aiming to dispatch orders the next business day. Top-notch customer service? That’s just how we do things—because happy, sweaty Aussies are our top priority!
Which Firewood Will Keep the Sauna Cranking?
Use properly cured hardwood for the best experience. Green or soft wood makes more smoke, less heat, and kills the vibe. Hardwoods burn longer, hotter, and more consistently. Start with kindling and the vent open to get the stove cranking, then close the vent and switch to larger logs to keep things steady.
What’s the Footprint of This Hot Box?
Tent: Inside, you’ve got a snug 1.85m x 1.85m of space with a head-friendly 2.1m peak—roomy enough for even your tallest mate to stand tall or for two people to lay down and chill (if that’s your vibe). Four people can comfortably squeeze in for a proper Aussie sweat sesh, but cramming more in might turn it into a game of sweaty Twister—not exactly the safest move.
Weighing about 16kg in its carry bag, it’s as portable as your beach esky but far more stylish. On the outside, it stretches to 2.15m at its widest points, giving you plenty of space without overtaking your backyard. The chimney and stove are cleverly tucked into a corner, so you’ve got maximum elbow room and minimum chance of an accidental singe. Now that’s hot stuff!
Stove: When packed down, the stove measures a tidy 25cm x 46cm x 42cm and weighs about 23kg with all its chimney sections and the spark arrestor snugly stored inside. Fully assembled, the chimney stands proud at 2.35m, ready to send your sweat-fuelled steam signals sky-high.
Stones & Stone Holder Basket: The basket measures 26cm x 26cm x 13cm, with the stones adding a hearty 10kg to the setup (or 12.2kg if you include the basket). Heavy enough to hold heat but light enough to carry—because no one wants to break a sweat before the sauna even starts!
Backyard, Bush, or Beach—Where Can I Sauna?
Before firing up your Soulfire sauna, have a quick yarn with your local council and fire department to make sure you’re good to go. In our experience, most backyards across Australia are fair game—after all, it’s just a fancy hotbox with an enclosed fireplace! Just remember, councils typically insist on dry firewood to keep the smoke signals low-key, especially in built-up areas.
The Soulfire tent is strictly an outdoor adventurer—set it up on a level surface in an open area. And for the love of kangaroos, don’t stick the chimney under cover or near anything flammable unless you fancy a visit from the fire brigade. Play it safe and keep the bushfire vibes for camping stories, not your backyard!
Oh, and here’s a cheeky camping hack: some spots only allow stoves for cooking purposes. No worries, mate—just pop a frying pan where the rock basket usually goes, and voila! You’re heating up dinner and the tent. After all, who’s to say your sauna heater isn’t multitasking?
What’s the Seating Situation?
We’ve got a premium folding bench seat made from Finland spruce available for purchase if you’re after the full luxury vibe. But if you’re more of a DIY legend, we recommend an untreated timber bench about 1.2-1.4m long, 45cm high, and 40cm wide.
Why don’t we bundle the seat with the sauna, you ask? Well, a lot of our customers love to get creative (or thrifty)—some whip up their own benches, others repurpose spare timber, and a few go rogue with yoga mats or chairs with backrests.
We reckon keeping the sauna as a standalone unit helps lower the cost, making it easier for more Aussies to jump on the health and wellness train. Whether you’re crafting your own throne or rolling out a yoga mat, we’re here for your sweat sanctuary, your way!
What’s the Flooring Solution?
The Soulfire tent doesn’t need any fancy flooring underneath, but a couple of things to keep in mind: don’t put anything flammable in or around it (unless you want a very different kind of fire experience), and whatever’s directly under the stove might cop a bit of melting or warping—so choose wisely.
For a touch of Aussie charm, we often hear that setting it up on lawn gives a great vibe—think barefoot on grass, all-natural sauna feels. Just remember to shift the tent around weekly unless you’re aiming for a perfectly square patch of dead grass in your backyard. For the more style-savvy, some customers have gone full DIY and built timber platforms for a permanent setup. It looks schmick and levels up the aesthetic. The stove itself is pretty grass-friendly—it’s the whole tent footprint that tends to leave its mark.
Steam or Dry Sauna: Which Is It?
It’s totally up to you! Craving that steamy vibe? Toss some water on the rocks. Want to keep it dry? Rock on without the splash. The Soulfire sauna flexes to fit your sweat style!
Hot Tips for Soulfire Sauna Safety and Success ️🔥
Oxygen is Essential: Always keep the stove airflow flap clear of obstructions—it’s not just about keeping your stove happy, it’s about your safety. In a confined space, a stove consuming oxygen can reduce air quality fast. Proper airflow ensures you and your sauna buddies can breathe easy while staying toasty.
Tent Pop Tip: The tent should pop open effortlessly if it’s positioned right. Don’t force it—it’s not a wrestling match! A gentle jiggle or trying another corner usually does the trick.
Store it Dry: A dry tent is a happy tent. Pack it away damp, and you might find an unwelcome mould surprise next time you set up.
UV Protection: When the sauna’s off duty, slap on those window covers to keep the Aussie sun from fading its good looks.
Rust Patrol: Keep the stove dry! Rain is the enemy—store the chimney inside the tent and cover the chimney hole with the velcro flap. Surface rust is normal and can be wiped away with a damp cloth and white vinegar.
Mind the Chimney: Never position the chimney under anything flammable—roofs, eaves, trees, you name it. Unless you’re keen on creating an unplanned bonfire, keep the area clear.
Season the Stove: Before first use, season the stove to burn off any factory residues (instructions included). Expect the stainless steel to change color and even glow red-hot—that’s just part of the show.
Windy Days: Pack everything away in high winds to avoid tipping or damage.
Steam Smarts: Splash water on the stones sparingly for steam. Too much water equals a soggy mess in the basket.
Flat and Safe: Use the stove and tent on a flat surface, and always handle the stove with gloves (it gets hot enough to fry an egg).
Fire Bans: Check for local fire restrictions—no one wants a sauna session turning into a fine!
